- Contact details. On commercial resources, along with a separate page with a detailed description of communication methods, it is advisable to indicate the main contacts in the basement (phone, skype, e-mail).
- Site`s map. Often the main menu is duplicated at the bottom of the site or links to the main pages and sections of the resource are placed. This allows for more internal links and provides better navigation for users.
- Social media buttons. It is much more effective to place such buttons directly under posts or product cards in an online store so that users can share what they see with their friends. However, it will not be superfluous to duplicate them in the footer ideas.
- Tags. Instead of a sitemap or footer menu, you can use a navigation mechanism such as tags. Keywords as tags not only contribute to the SEO of the site but also allow users to easily find the information they need.
- Statistics counters. The counter is an indicator of the site’s performance for visitors and a tool for analyzing its traffic for the owner. Footer is the most optimal place for its placement.

It’s visible from website footer examples that each footer should be separated from the main content of the site. Usually, the footer is decorated with a different color, the content part of the web resource. The footer color may also differ slightly from the website background, usually, the footer is darker.
Unusual footer design website is rather important. For example, a basement design might include a folded piece of parchment. If there are an island and waves in the hat, then the bottom can be decorated in the form of a seabed, and an open treasure chest will be an interesting element.
