Pre-Inspecting the Door Frame

Most home improvement stores sell a variety of pre-cut frames and doors to match the frames, some even sell a full door frame kit. Once you’ve inspected the frame, measure the exact size at which the frame should be.

Fitting the Frame

Attaching the Door
The next step now is to mount is to attach the door frame and attach the mounting casing onto the door frame. You can use finish nails or, even better, use wood screws that can be easily removed if you do make a mistake.
At this time, you can fill any open gaps with wooden shims and nail the casing in. When installing the door to the hinges, only mount on screw on the top and the bottom and make final adjustments accordingly.
