Dallas Zoo
The Dallas Zoo is both the oldest and the largest zoo in Texas. The zoo takes up 100 acres, and it lies just 3 miles south of the downtown area. You can expect to see a wide range of different animals at the Dallas Zoo. For example, they have tigers, gorillas, and koalas.
The Zoo is so large that you could easily spend a whole day there. There are also plenty of restaurants and food stands around the park, so you don’t need to worry about bringing any food along.

Mesquite Championship Rodeo
No trip to Texas would be complete without a visit to the Rodeo. This Rodeo facility is quite close to downtown. You should be able to get there in around 15 minutes from the downtown area in normal traffic.
