The Dean Morrissey piece is a real beauty. |

| The volume of mainstream illustration works is amazing. I think I counted 9 JC Leyendeckers, several nice Elvgrens many Rockwell's and so much more! |

The previews for the May auction seem to have been removed. I guess they might have been a distraction, given the volume of art in the Feb auction.
I was interested to see how low some of the estimates are again for paintings in Feb. Maybe they are more a reflection of the reserve prices we should expect. |

The previews for the May auction are back online.
Richard Corben's "Forest of Doom" brings back good memories. Will "City of Thieves" follow? Lots of good stuff! |

| Wow. Frazetta should be the signature piece of this auction. |

| I believe the Frazetta will get the most $$ but the Bonestell Saturn from Titan is awesome! It is sweet but I suspect it will be quite expensive |

| The Virgil Finlay is stunning and I'd be suprised if it doesn't spark a serious bidding war. There are also very decent Di Fate and Gaughan works on offer. |

Some very, very nice stuff in there! I'm hoping maybe a piece or two will slip under the radar . . . .

| There is a lot more stuff I'm interested in this time than usual. Doubt I'll win anything, but we'll see. |

I have a silly question: If, hypothetically, I wanted to contact someone who purchased an artwork from HA about purchasing the artwork, would HA forward an offer or my details on to them?

It is in their interest to be the matchmaker for a deal - because they demand a % of the sale price.
When you look through previous items sold, some items have a button under the final sale price which allows you to make an offer to the owner. I think it appears automatically for any purchase where they have full details of the winner in their online system.
When you use the online feature, I believe the fee is currently 10% of sale price - paid by the seller. |

Estimated prices seem very conservative this time. Plenty of nice pieces with tempting starting prices.
Will be very interesting to see how many bidders throw their hat in the ring for the Frazetta. |

Yipes!!! Looks like the paintings in this auction now require 3rd party shipping.
I am still working through the horror (and truly mind boggling expense) of 3rd party shipping a painting from a Feb auction. The painting still hasn't arrived, while other paintings won in March (shipped by Heritage themselves) have been here for weeks.
I suggest you check 3rd party freight costs before you finalise your bids. |

| I highly recommend Craters and Freighters. Custom made plywood boxes that seem industructable to me, timely pickup and shipping, maybe a bit on the high cost side, but for the peace of mind, well worth it. -Ray. |
