Just noticed at Heritage that items you have picked up at auction can now be automatically setup to show a fixed resale price, with a "buy now from owner" button. There is also a rather elaborate "My collection" section where you can enable/disable, setup price, description, etc.

Seems to me like it might be more succesful in generating an actual resale, rather than hoping for offers to roll in via the "make an offer" feature.

Curious whether anyone has actually received useful "make an offer" requests so far. I haven't received any offers myself on 7 paintings that Heritage automatically enabled for "make an offer".

We can't do that here at the moment . . . . but we will be able to when the new site goes online in 2011 . . . .

Yes, that was a big teaser for the new Association of Fantastic Art site coming next year that will combine the Exchange, IlluXCon, and a host of other super nifty stuff. We couldn't find anything available that would do what we wanted, so we're working with one of the hotshots in the Expression Engine community to build our platform from scratch. We'll update here as we move forward . . . .
