As many of you know by now, well-known fan and editor George Scithers died in April, and I (Jane Frank/Worlds of Wonder) have been asked to represent his estate for the sale of SF and other items. It was decided to hold an auction, and so I wanted to announce to the IE that the one-week long auction of art and collectibles from the Scithers estate is now officially underway on eBay. You can find all 47 items by searching by seller ID "wowart" or by keyword "Scithers estate". Like all my auctions, it's running from Sunday to Sunday, and will end night of June 6th. All works are starting at extremely low starting prices, both to raise money for the estate by selling as many as possible, and also so that anyone who might want to have something from George's collection could have a chance to do so. There are some non-SF items (George loved Trolleys, trains and airships), and prints as well as originals by Krenkel, George Barr, Freas, Kirk and others. So please take a look and see what's there....there are already bids on half the items listed, and I'm counting on fans and collectors to help make this as successful a sale as possible.
